We picked grapefruit at the Alston's house last night and we just had to take a picture of this HUGE grapefruit we found on the tree! Here it is next to a regular-sized grapefruit... just look at the size of that thing!
Just happened to be surfing around the web and found your blog - wow! Life sure has changed since high school. I recently moved to NC to start teaching (2nd grade) and was thinking that Emma would be about the age of my little kiddos. I'd like to catch up a bit if you're interested, but I know life is super-busy (and I'm lucky if I get to have a free minute myself once a week). Drop me a line at tcherbeth@aol.com and we can reconnect a bit. Luv'n'stuf, Beth Steffen
Jamie DeRue! Whoa--it has been a long time. This is Jamie Shemps (from Downstairs Cabaret).
I do not even know how I stumbled upon this blog of yours. Forgive me, I had to sneak around the pics to make sure it was really you. Occasionally, I google random names of long lost friends hoping to find what they are up to these days. I had forgotten I even had a blog (I haven't logged in since 2007). It looks as though you are up to a lot--married with 3 kids--how wonderful! They are adorable kids to boot!
How have you been the last 10+years?? I am not sure how to really communicate on these blogs so if you're interested in catching up-you can email me at jamieshemps@gmail.com.
I hope you are so well and I hope to chat with you soon!
We consider ourselves incredibly blessed in so many ways. We have eachother and 3 beautiful children... who could ask for anything more?
Johnny and Jamie
We have been happily married for 10 years. When I think about what makes me happy about my family I think about being together for eternity with my husband and 3 wonderful children.
Emma Kay
Our Emma is 8 and just finished 2nd grade. She is a very good dancer, piano player and singer! She loves to paint her toe nails, ride her bike and play with her friends. When we asked her what her favorite thing is about our family she said, "We work together".
John Garrett
This is John-John, he is 6 years old and quite the baseball player!!! He just finished Kindergarden and was awarded Athlete of the Year by his PE teacher! When we asked him what his favorite thing about being a part of our family is he said, "ummmm... playing games with Dad".
Grace Ann
This is Gracie, she is 3 and quite the crazy girl! She loves to dance, sing and play with her princess dolls. She loves being involved in everything... including mischief!!! When asked what she loves most about our family she said, "I lub my brudder and sistuh."
Check out my Voice Studio Blog!
We Believe...
The Sunflower Cottage
My dream has always been to own a store with everything I love in it! Right now I carry Warm Glow Candles (which I am crazy about!). They are from the East Coast. I remember living in New York, going to a cute boutique and buying these with my Mom. They are a great way to add warmth to your home. We always had one (or two or three...) burning in ours! They're hand-dipped and are long lasting. They make adorable centerpieces and beautiful home decor warming any room. They are fantastic gifts for friends and family and are for every season!
